About the Item
original expressionist acrylic painting.
His family was originally from Figueres. He studied industrial engineering and fine arts at the Llotja School and he relates to Cercle Maillol (Joaquim Mir, Claude Collet and Josep Maria Sucre). Their landscapes of the Girona region (mainly Cadaqués and Ibiza) are characteristic, with an orderly and resolute composition with soft colors and lightly blurry profiles. Initially, he also made engravings, with which he obtained the first prize of La Rosa Vera in 1951, and illustrations for books from librarians from various publishers.
In 1994, the Generalitat de Catalunya granted the Cross of Saint George for the pedagogical dissemination of the art and the international diffusion of the landscapes of the Empordà and contemporary Catalan art.
