A beautiful landscape oil painting depicting a stately tree with green mountains in the background by California artist Genevieve Rogers (American, 20th Century). Unsigned but acquired with a collection of her work. Unframed. Image, 14"H x 18"L. Genevieve Rogers was born in 1904 in New York. She resided in Pacific Grove, California where she was active as an artist, painting mostly landscapes and figurative works, until her death in 1984.

Trees at the Top of the Hill - California Coastal Landscape in Oil on Canvas Dramatic coastal landscape by California artist Ken Lucas (American, 20th Century). A group of wispy trees are blowing in the breeze at the top of a hill. The hillside is composed of green and yellow grass with large boulders. Off to the right, the ocean stretches out to the horizon, with soft pink and white clouds above. Signed in the lower left corner (#56 Ken Lucas") Dated on verso ("#56 4/'94") From a collection of the artist's works. Unframed. Canvas size: 24"H x 36"W Ken Lucas was a school teacher and amateur painter from Monterey, California. He was primarily self-taught but became proficient as an artist and left a legacy of excellent paintings. He was a friend of and painted with Richard Lofton, a well known Carmel Artist.

This painting was created at Harvey Bear Park in Morgan Hill, CA, known for its lush scenery and excellent hiking trails. Mancuso ventured out prior to the Plein Air Paint Out event and became inspired by the landscape of the quiet town. About the Artist: Joe Mancuso is a plein air pastellist based in Torrance, CA. Mancuso is well known for the light in his paintings.
