A lyrical and light-filled seascape showing a view of the Pacific Ocean with the sun breaking through clouds and illuminating the breakers rolling in towards the coast of Northern California's Mendocino county.
This listed California artist lives on the Mendocino Coast where he devotes his time to painting the many moods of the Pacific Ocean. George Rohrer studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and paints in a proto-Impressionist style. His paintings flow freely and speak to that deep down longing for the sea and the serenity of distant views. Rohrer's works can be found in both private and public collections and the artist continues to be represented by Mendocino's Panache Gallery.
