Beautiful French oil painting by the well listed and very popular artist, Jean-Jacques Rene (b.1943). The work is signed to the lower corner as well as being titled to the back.
Jean-Jacques Rene (Born in 1943, French contemporary artist) is known for his beach and coastal scenes distinguished by his atmospheric use of color and by a lightness of touch that captures fleeting moments and sensations. His style is unique and his work is instantly recognizable. He was awarded the David Weill Prize in 1971. He has had numerous solo exhibitions including Le Havre 1966, Osaka 1974, Galerie Bruno Martin-Caille in PAris 1976, 1986, Beziers 1988, Turin 1976, Amsterdam 1977, New York 1981, Nimes in 1977 & 1988, Caracas 1978, 1979 and 1981.
