About the Item
“We will remember”
The painting "We Will Remember" was created as a continuation of the theme of memories tied to the city of Mariupol.
Why this city in particular? It was devastated during the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, and here, Ukrainian soldiers endured the longest siege at the Azovstal plant.
In Ukraine, the poppy flower has become a symbol of remembrance for all those who perished in World War II. But now, as we once again find ourselves in the fight for freedom, the poppies in Mariupol represent faith and hope for victory. They honor the memory of all the soldiers who died and those who continue to fight.
The entire world will remember this war. Our red poppies stand as a reminder that humanity must never again allow a neighboring country to seize the territory of another state. This is a lesson the world must learn, and we must establish legal norms and behaviors that will punish any attempts at such aggression.
About series
This painting is from the "Hope" series, where the idea of preserving one's identity despite challenging circumstances is conveyed, as well as the hope for a return to peaceful life. In her work, Ksenia does not depict the pain of internal conflict. Instead, she seeks points of support to rise and move forward, to help others rebuild their lives.

Ksenia Tsyganyuk, born in 1991 in northern Russia, began her artistic career after moving to Rivne, Ukraine. Her paintings—landscapes and still lifes—capture a joyful, childlike sense of wonder through vibrant colors, rich textures, and ornamental details. With a touch of naïveté in her imagery, she seeks to awaken the viewer’s “inner child,” reminding them of how beautiful the world is when one is free from expectations, eager to explore, and ready to experiment. In today’s fast-changing and stressful world—marked by crises, wars, and forced migration—it’s easy to lose balance and feel overwhelmed. Ksenia’s art offers a moment of respite, inviting viewers into a dialogue with their own feelings of lightness and freedom. She hopes to rekindle the emotions of childhood, when one feels safe, at home, and surrounded by love. Her goal is to create art that helps people reconnect with their inner Sun—the light that guides them through life.
Ksenia works in mixed media, blending acrylic and oil on canvas. She favors a loose, expressive style that preserves the spontaneity of each brushstroke, allowing emotions to flow freely onto the canvas.Education
