About the Item
With her love for the abstract expressionist style of art, fine art artist Sonia Grineva created this sensational, multi-dimensional interpretation of the bustling, colorful, Manhattan Carnegie Hill neighborhood in New York City with her use of mixed brush strokes, textures, paint application and other apropos techniques. Unique to this piece, Grineva painted the contemporary scaled frame in the numerous colors used throughout the original oil painting. An internationally trendy artist with studios in Italy, and NYC, Sonia Grineva studied fine art at the Stroganov Art Institute, earning both a bachelors and master's degree in fine art before relocating to New York City to continue her studies at National Academy of Design in New York. Her achievement earned her a scholarship in Florence to the British Institute to further advance her techniques. Her work has shown globally from the Villa d'Este to the Vatican to the Forbes Collection and the White House as well as in countless private collections.

Sonia Grineva
Sonia Grineva is originally from Moscow, where she was educated at the leading art school, the Stroganov Institute, earning both a bachelor’s degree and masters of fine art. Her subsequent studies at the National Academy of Design in NYC earned her extensive accolades including a scholarship to continue her studies in Florence, Italy, at the British Institute. Her work has been widely shown from the Vatican to Pfizer to Time Warner to the Harvard and Yale Clubs to the White House. She maintains studios both in Manhattan and Capri, Italy.
