About the Item
Nocturne. 1987, cardboard, oil, 65x85 cm
The central focus of the painting is the shoreline where the boats are situated. The calm sea in the painting reflects the aftermath of the storm. The artist has used smooth brushstrokes to convey the stillness and tranquility of the water. The dark clouds in the sky suggest that the storm has passed or is receding. These clouds are depicted using darker tones, grays, and fading into lighter hues.
