Lazzaro Donati (Italian, 1926-1977), Framed oil painting "La Ragazza Ungherese" The Hungarian Girl. Dated 1961. Framed: 36.25 x 28.5 inches. In good condition. Lazzaro Donati was born in Florence and attended the Academy of Fine Arts. He began to paint in 1953, and in 1955 held his first exhibition at the Indiano Gallery in Florence. His easel was covered with Persian blue velvet, the painting on the easel was already framed, his chair was upholstered in red velvet and on his palette the colors were arranged with the precision of a Byzantine mosaic. Artist Biography: Honey also known as Melinda Beeman graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, this celebrated California artist has been exhibiting since 1973. After graduation with a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking, Melinda spent a year in London studying print making. Since her return, she has exhibited her unique original hand-made prints throughout the United States and Europe. Melinda Beeman's art has also been featured in several international publications, including Art News, Performing Arts Magazine and Art in America. In 2000, she formed and developed the Marfa Studio Arts foundation. She has also taught at the University of Houston. Now she lives with her partner in Marfa raising and milking goats.
