Karl Struss
Karl Struss was an American photographer and cinematographer born in New York in 1886. He studied photography at Columbia University under the guidance of Clarence White. Through his studies, Struss developed the Struss Pictorial Lens, a soft-focus lens popular with the pictorial photographers and in the motion picture industry of the era.
