Edition of 3 plus 2 artist's proofs Print only Signed by the artist Karla Hiraldo Voleau, born 1992, is a French-Dominican artist. She graduated from ECAL University of Arts and Design (Switzerland) in 2018, with her project ‘Hola Mi Amol’. It was published in 2019 as her first photo book, and was a laureate of the VFG Swiss Young Talents for Photography, as well as shortlisted at Paris Photo for the Aperture First Book Awards 2019. Hiraldo Voleau was a Foam Talent in 2020, a laureate of the Olympus Recommended Fellowship in 2020, and many times laureate of the Swiss Foundation for culture Pro Helvetia’s production and research grants. She was a resident of the Cité Internationale des Arts of Paris during 2022-2023. Recently she exhibited her performative project ‘A Man in Public Space’, at Art Basel 2022 where she was a Swiss Design Award finalist, but also at the Biennale de l’Image Possible of Liège 2020, at Photo London 2021, among other venues. She premiered her first solo show ‘Another Love Story’ at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris in 2022. The exhibition then travelled to the Photoforum Pasquart in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland, the Foto Forum of Bolzano in Italy, and eventually the International Center for Photography in New York City, all in 2023. The book 'Another Love Story' was published by Mörel Books in 2023 and was voted as one of the best photography books of 2023 by Nathalie Herschdorfer, Director of Photo Elysée. – Color photography, Photography, Portrait, Karla Hiraldo Voleau

Modern Masters of Photography. Japan (1960-2003) is a limited edition portfolio of contemporary Japanese photography by 12 internationally renowned photographers. Joy of Color, 2002 by Yasuhiro Ishimoto is a contemporary color photograph from an extensive documentary photography series of Japan that Nagano shot on assignment. The image is hand-signed on recto (front left margin) by the photographer. This is an archival pigment print on Hahnemule Fine Art paper printed 2005 under the direction of the photographer. The 19" x 13" work is from the portfolio "Masters of Modern Photography. Japan," Tokyo. Edition available: 87/100. Provenance: Private Collector *** Artist’s Bio: Yasuhiro Ishimoto a Japanese photographer was born in 1921. His work was chosen by Edward Steichen to appear in the Family of Man exhibition and catalogue at the Museum of Modern Art in 1955, and Steichen also selected his work for a three-person exhibition in 1961. From 1973-1993 Ishimoto produced a number of in-camera color abstractions that appeared as covers for a Japanese magazine. Ishimoto's exhibitions, include New Japanese Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in 1974, solo shows in 1960 and 1999 at the Art Institute of Chicago, a retrospective in 1989–1990 at Seibu Museum of Art in Tokyo, and an exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, in 1996.
