About the Item
This Mithcell Funk image exhibits both beauty and whimsy. An interplay of beautiful magenta and blue is echoed with an interplay of structures in Long Island City. Alternating buildings and smokestacks form a pyramidal composition. While man-made smoke in the foreground is echoed by similarly shaped clouds in the sky. The left to right movement of the structures is tied together by a dialog of the foreground and background clouds. It is signed, dated and numbered 4/15 lower right recto. Other sizes are available. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper The work is unframed and printed later.

"Great Pyramid of Manhattan", photograph, city, architecture, geometry, blue sky
Located in Toronto, Ontario
"The Great Pyramid of Manhattan" is a color photograph on Etching Rag archival paper. It's a signed Edition of 20, available in sizes 16x24, 11x17 and 8x12 inches. It is a striking composition, and typical of the artist there are only a few elements at play but they are powerfully at play. The hard line geometry of a pyramid, the black and silver-white shard against the deep blue sky create a dominating form. Shooting on the streets of New York, looking up and looking for often-missed city/sky collisions, Bob...
