About the Item

Taken from Long Island City, this tightly cropped composition emphasizes bold silhouettes while revealing the interplay of two of New York City's most iconic buildings. The horizontal grid-shaped turquoise blue facade of the United Nations Secretariat Building's International Style contrasts with the vertical, curvilinear flowing lines of the Chrysler Building's Art Deco Style. Photographer Mitchell Funk's simplified design of both subjects is minimalistic and adds a third design style to the mix. The work is signed, dated, and numbered 3/15, lower right recto. printed later , Other sizes are available and the fine art photograph is unframed. Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. The uploaded video on 1stDibs is coming up a bit off color.
