Lake Tahoe Couple, 1959 is a beautiful Limited Edition Estate Stamped Digital C-Type print from 20th Century photographer Slim Aarons.
This stylish and elegant photograph by Slim Aarons perfectly encapsulates a romantic moment between a loving couple. Sprawled out on the poolside, soaking up the sun, lies a young man whose back is sprinkled with droplets of water - he has not long been out of the pool. His wife, meanwhile, luxuriates in the cool, crystal waters while they speak; it is hot after all, she would like to remain in this tranquil space a little longer.
If you look carefully, you are able to see the words, "Nevada" and "California" spelled out in tiles on the swimming pool floor. This line actually marks the state boundary between Nevada and California. From 1959.

Ian Sanderson (born 1951 Scotland, died 2020 Spain) was a Scottish photographer.
He produced images over a 35 year career, and in recent years used archival techniques to produce his prints.
For most of his career he worked as both a Commercial and Fine Art photographer, and during his last years concentrated on his personal imagery.
Towards the end of his life journey, Ian was reviving with his partner two 19th century printing techniques in their studio, Platinum Palladium and Gum Bichromate ( one-of-a-kind pieces). This culminated in a large retrospective exhibition in Barcelona which was sponsored by the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation.
The Platinum and Palladium prints are particularly interesting as they printed them onto vellum paper therefore transparent and bonded pure gold or silver to the back of the prints ( every print is therefore a unique and timeless piece of art).
They have created rare and personalized pieces with an artisanal technique.
Ian Sanderson was one of only a handful of artists worldwide producing this type of work.
Nowadays, Ian’s partner continues their work, she’s still creating Platinum Palladium prints but also silver gelatin photographs.

The gauzy veil, swept by an unseen force, suggests both concealment and revelation, echoing the duality of identity as something imposed yet inherently fluid. Even though the societal veil remains, its power is diminished—the subject moves freely beyond the constructs seen by constrained minds. Light softly filters through, symbolizing self-discovery and transcendence, a quiet emergence from expectation into pure existence. In this symphony of contrast and motion, identity is no longer bound—it simply is, limitless and free.
It is a double exposure film composition.

Ugne is a Lithuanian fine art photographer based in London. Her work explores the intricate systems and subtle beauty of nature, finding inspiration in its quiet resilience and ephemeral grace. “Spark” is a part of Alex Sher’s popular series REFLECTIONS - underwater photographs that could be almost mistaken for abstract paintings as they bring up recollections of masterpieces by Picasso, Dali or Gustav Klimt. In fact REFLECTIONS are straight photographic capturing of the water’s surface from below, with a submerged underwater camera. The photographs freeze natural momentary reflections in water surface - the unique kaleidoscopic fragmentations of human body into nearly unrecognizable forms.
It is these bold accents of color, mesmerizing textures, dramatic lines, and distinctive distortions that make Sher’s works unique highly advisable masterpieces.
Alex Sher’s underwater photograph “Spark” ignites the water in a boiling fiery scene. The pale tones of the skin contrast sharply against the velvety reflections of red that consume the water. What in reality would be understood as a nude photograph depicting a woman's body, breasts, and limbs, in Sher’s work transforms into a surreal spark of colors and bubbles.
