Andre Beaudin's style was developed at the Ecole de Paris in the 1930's, mainly as a reaction against the systematic continuation of Cubism. He gained regard among other artists and began exhibiting his work in modern art museums all around the world. His interest in gentle bright color shows in "Falling Leaves", as does both his acknowledgement of and development away from previous Cubist collage. He chooses non-figurative subjects for his prints, choosing to avoid association with a subject that had become common in Cubist work.

Andre Beaudin
André Beaudin (1895-1979) was a French painter and sculptor known for his distinctive contributions to modern art. Born in Mennecy, France, Beaudin studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Initially influenced by Cubism, Beaudin developed a unique style characterized by simplified forms and geometric abstraction. He often depicted still lifes, nudes, and landscapes with a poetic and lyrical quality, using a subdued color palette and refined compositions. Beaudin's work evolved over time, incorporating elements of Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism while maintaining his focus on structure and balance. His sculptures, primarily in bronze, also reflect his interest in form and rhythm. André Beaudin's artistic legacy continues to be celebrated, with his works exhibited in major museums and collections worldwide. He passed away in Paris in 1979, leaving behind a significant body of work that exemplifies his mastery of modern artistic expression.
