About the Item

Printed in sepia. Signed and titled in pencil. An Oregon native, Dorothy Dolph Jensen attended at Portland Art School. The Portland Art Museum has her work in its collection. She also studied in Europe and settled in Seattle after marrying the respect frame-maker, Lloyd Jensen. For many years in the 1920s and 30s she was the only woman artist in Seattle making intaglio prints on her own press.
