Framed in a beautiful gold-leaf wooden frame with archival museum-quality mat.
Spanish artist Eusebio Sempere is one of Spain's chief figures in geometric abstraction. His work was featured in an official anniversary edition of the Spanish Constitution, printed in 1978, and featuring the leading contemporary Spanish artists of the time. The book features a serigraph by Sempere that has a similar theme of oval geometry comprised of overlapping fine vertical screens in different shades of ochre and gold. Though not exactly the same as the current piece, the similarities are striking enough to place the piece in the same compositional theme that Sempere was experimenting with in the 70's.
