About the Item
Original poster: Chopstix Sequences. Printed on woven paper.
Horizontal print of a hand holding a chop stix or both in various positions.
Behiind each are the Japanese symbols for 1, 2, 3, and 4. On the 4th the one chopstix is dropped to the bottom of the horizontal print.
In 1986 the American Simpson Paper Company asked 24 graphic designers from around the world to design posters, each interpreting the theme “Sequences”. Optically seductive, the choice of red, yellow and black, makes for a striking poster, however for Henry the conceptual takes precedence. Henry’s spin on this classic ‘sequence’ is through his addition of an amusing, yet factual, fourth step – a dropped chopstick. The sequence is also a repeating one as step 4 implies a return to step 1. (This section is from the artist.)

Original "BALLY" Shoe kinetic style vintage poster, 1981
By Jacques Auriac
Located in Spokane, WA
Original linen-backed small-format Bally women's shoe posters. The modern kinetic design of the shoes is represented by lines in different colors on a purple background. The poster does have a black outline around the image. The size is of the original poster and does not include the linen backing size in the measurements. The poster is undated, but all references indicate that this poster is from 1981.
Artist: Jacques Auria (1922 - 2003) The poster is in very good condition but did have touch up work during linen backing along the bottom right corner and edge.
Using bright, contrasting colors (such as pink, white, and purple) creates a visually engaging composition. The flowing lines and curves suggest motion, fitting for a Bally shoe vintage poster...
