About the Item
Howard Hodgkin (1932-2017), one of Britain’s greatest contemporary artists became best known for his vibrantly colored paintings that chronicle his personal experiences. IN TANGIER, a brilliantly colorful representation of a Moroccan desert palm tree depicted in bold green paint strokes against a background of intense red, warm yellow, citrus greens, coral, cobalt blue and white. Palm trees, one of Hodgkin's favorite motifs, are emblems of spiritual significance and exoticism.
In Tangier is a hand pulled silkscreen printed in 22-colors(not a photo reproduction or digital print) on heavyweight Somerset archival printmaking paper, 100% acid free, limited edition poster run of 1000. Large sized handmade fine art poster, superb quality handcrafted serigraph by the renowned British artist Howard Hodgkin.
