Joseph Rozman was born on December 26, 1944 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the first artist to have a solo exhibition at the David Barnett Gallery, having his first one man show in 1967, again in 1969, and 1971. Rozman received his BFA (with honors in 1967) and MFA (1969) from UW-Milwaukee, and would later become a Professor at Mount Mary College. His zany style portrays his spontaneous blending of ancient and personal symbols influenced by Egyptian art and the paintings and drawings of Paul Klee, his free experimentation with varied materials and processes, and his delight in color and texture. Carrying the credo of "Art is Fun," Rozman's playful gestures recur in his richly diverse works. It is sure to be a happy experience.

Joseph Rozman was born on December 26, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the first artist to have a solo exhibition at the David Barnett Gallery in 1967, 1969 and again in 1971. Ushio Shinohara (born 1932, Tokyo), nicknamed “Gyu-chan”, is a Japanese Neo-Dadaist artist. His bright, large work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, Centre Georges Pompidou, the Guggenheim Museum SoHo, National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, Leo Castelli Gallery, New York, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Seoul and others. Shinohara and his wife, Noriko, are the subjects of a documentary film by Zachary Heinzerling called Cutie and the Boxer (2013).
Shinohara's parents instilled in him a love for painters such as Paul Cézanne, Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin. His father was a tanka poet who was taught by Wakayama Bokusui. Shinohara’s mother was a painter who went to the Woman’s Art University (Joshibijutsu Daigaku) in Tokyo.
In 1952 Shinohara entered the Tokyo Art University (later renamed to Tokyo University of the Arts), majoring in oil painting, however he left before graduation in 1957.

It was acquired from the estate of Ohio artist Joseph O' Sickey, a personal friend of Roy Lichtenstein, who was involved with the creation of the show. Very few of these posters remain, and in fact the only other one we have seen in recent years also came from O'Sickey's estate.
