1976-1978

About the Item

Image dimensions: 64 x 44 cm. Decalogue n. 8 is an original color etching, realized between 1976-78 by the Italian artist Lucio Del Pezzo. Signed in pencil on lower right margin. This is a precious artist's proof, in excellent condition and with vivid colors. Our specimen is from "Decalogue", a portfolio of ten sheets, numbered variously from a total edition of 105 pieces (75 prints numbered in Arabic numerals, 25 prints numbered in Roman numerals, 5 artist's proofs), all signed in pencil. Lucio Del Pezzo is an Italian painter and sculptor. He was among the founders of the neo-surrealist “Gruppo 58” and collaborated with the magazine Documento Sud. In his paintings-objects and assemblages, he always emphasized the playful aspect of art in an ensemble of chromatic and formal relations.
