I’ve been obessed with the beautifully intricate patterns on Big Ben’s iconic clockface for a long time. I find it quite hypnotic to look at them, a bit like those 3-D puzzles. This piece is created from an original photograph and then each segment is painstakingly coloured digitally by hand - I hadn’t realised it contained so many different shapes and patterns - I do now! I coloured the different shapes in a variety of bold bright colours, which helps to highlight the clockface’s complex, gorgeous design. The piece is printed on a slim circular sheet of brushed aluminium, with a hanging baton on the back. Ten Past Ten (Big Ben) is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around two weeks.
