Dreamy is an original modern artwork realized in the mid-20th Century by the Italian artist Mino Maccari (Siena, 1898 - Rome, 1989). Original woodcut on paper. Very good conditions. The artwork represents a dreamy scenery of star-like shapes, realized by the most famous Italian satirical artist of the XX Century: Mino Maccari. This artwork depicted by mastery, applying contrast by sharp lines through well-defined black and white, making the artwork perfectly stand out. Mino Maccari (Siena, 1898 – Rome, 1989). Maccari was a popular Italian painter and engraver. He produced many artworks through different graphic techniques. He exhibited at important international exhibitions in the fields of art and graphics. In 1959, he became the director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome; in 1963, he won Antonio Feltrinelli's prize for painting and became president of the San Luca Academy. He realized many lithographs and etchings of satirical and political subject matters. He was also famous for erotic and sexual drawings. He has worked for many years at Il Mondo.
