About the Item

The Illustrator is an original artwork realized by Mino Maccari. It is an artist' proof, hand signed in pencil on lower right margin "Maccari"; on the lower left margin "prova di colore" is written in pencil. Very good conditions. It represents an illustrator, maybe the artist, with three figures in the background. It is a two-tone illustration realized in green and yellow. Mino Maccari (Siena, 1898 - Roma, 1989) has been a popular artist and engraver; he produced a lot of artworks with different graphic techniques. He exhibited in important international art exhibitions in the sector of art and graphics. In 1959 he became the director of Academy of Fine Arts in Rome; in 1963 he won Antonio Feltrinelli's prize for painting and became president of San Luca Academy. Image Dimensions : 28.5 x 37 cm This artwork is shipped from Italy.
