About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Are We There Yet? (a bit of Colorado & a lot of Texas)” is a 4.5 x 14.375 inch unique abstract inkjet print represented on 11 x 16.5 inch Awagami Bamboo Japanese paper embracing both the art of digital printmaking, minimalism, and creative photography. A green hue gradates over a photo of a snow capped mountain range taken along the iconic Independence Pass in Colorado and begins the progression of images in this striking abstract landscape. A thin dark pink bar sits horizontally within the snow complimenting the format of the artwork. Two distinct depictions of blue cactus and pink flowers, taken roadside in Texas, sit side by side at slight angels in the center of the composition. A dark green and white image taken from a bridge gives graphic contrast as well as a peak of the Texas terrain. Fields of color are intentionally selected and effortlessly harmonized in deGrandpre’s vivid contemporary prints. Finding inspiration from her own experiences and travel, deGrandpre has an extensive catalog of photographs and images which are catalyst of her art making. Images are deconstructed and manipulated as she skillfully creates an amalgam by integrating the pictorial with the abstract. This one of a kind elegant contemporary landscape is signed and dated on the bottom right corner of the print and will ship flat in a protective sleeve ready for the frame of your choice.

Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
