About the Item

Royce, Richard (American, born 1941). AU FOND. Intagio print in colors, 1967. Edition of 40. printed on BFK Rives paper. Titled, numbered 6/40, and signed and dated, all in pencil. 17 1/4 x 13 5/8 inches (plate), 24 1/2 x 19 1/2 inches (plate). In excllent condition. Royce was born in New York. He studied with Hayter in Paris, where he made prints, including this one, at Atelier 17. After returning to the US, he had his own printmaking studio, and worked with many very well-know artists. His works are in many museum collections. Now, in his 80s, he is active as a master of the flamenco guitar.
