In this print, Seiko Tachibana evokes a delicate interweaving of invisible powers, as if delicate threads were drawing a mysterious network linking the organic kingdom to the infinity of the cosmos. The black lines, stretched in arches like spider webs, seem both fragile and indestructible, capturing ephemeral worlds in their net. Above, dark shapes float, marked by silver circles shimmering with a bluish glow.
The blue, diffuse and subtle, could evoke the echo of a dreamy inner world. In the background, the delicate, interwoven motifs evoke foliage, like a tree observed from its crown. This work whispers the complexity of living things, the tension between the visible and invisible, the heavy and airy, while reaffirming the fragile, harmonious interdependence of the elements.

Seiko Tachibana
Seiko Tachibana was born in Japan and completed her Masters of Art Education at Kobe University, Japan. Her distinctive work balances Asian tradition with minimalist modernity. Tachibana’s work is exhibited internationally and has been acquired by many museum collections, including the Los Angeles County Museum, Fine Art Museums of San Francisco, The Portland Art Museum as well as others throughout the USA, Europe and Japan. She received an MFA from San Francisco Art Institute in 1995 and has since received many awards, including Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation Award. She has been living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1993.
