One of the four lithographs that the artist made in 1968 printed in 75 copies. Both powerful and delicate, the presence of broken lines abruptly separates the space while the colors transparency softens the whole. The artist masterfully combines red and blue, one of his favorite color combinations.

Serge Poliakoff was a Russian-born French modernist painter belonging to the New Ecole de Paris (Tachisme). His father, a Kyrgyz, supplied the army with horses that he bred himself and also owned a racing stable.
