Limited Edition prints are printed with pigment ink on a Premium Fine Art Matte Canvas and designed to meet museum longevity requirements and ensure consistency. Sofie Swann is an American artist, born and raised in Tehran, Iran. Displaced at a young age due to political upheaval, her abstract paintings reflect a chaotic yet structured world mirroring inner feelings of dislocation and disconnect in her journey to find a place called home. Her sources of inspiration are memory and the subconscious, drawn from her childhood all the way to her adult life experiences living for many years in Boston, Massachusetts, then Paris, France before finally settling in Connecticut. Swann graduated from Smith College, holds a law degree, and studied art at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sofie Swann
Born in Tehran, abstract painter Sofie Swann escaped the Iranian revolution at a young age and subsequently lived in the United States and France. Keeping her heritage close, Swann uses Persian tea in varying amounts as a subtle nod to her roots. The sepia tones are, at times, a faint addition, though this trademark signature creates a sense of place in every work she makes.
Swann spent time studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in Boston where she explored landscapes and portraiture. Through experimentation, she developed a passion for abstract and minimalist art. While later living in Paris, she discovered key influential artists including Vincent van Gogh, Franz Kline, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly, Louise Bourgeois and Yayoi Kusama.
As a process of self-discovery and self-expression, her paintings take the form of visual autobiographies, telling a narrative of memories, both real and imagined, and the emotion she draws from remembering them. Swann prefers not to sketch intentional designs before beginning a painting and rather lets the work evolve organically. “My thoughts and emotions. That’s where it all starts,” she said in an interview with Sorelle Gallery. “I don’t paint what I see. I paint what I feel.”
Since 2015, Swann has exhibited in solo and in groups around the United States, including at Chroma Fine Art Gallery in Katonah, New York; Silvermine Galleries and the Carriage Barn Arts Center, both in New Canaan, Connecticut; and Sorelle Gallery in Westport, Connecticut.

PWW-777 - Eric Mack - Contemporary Abstract Collage Painting Based off the Grid
Located in Signal Mountain, TN
PWW-777 is part of Eric Mack's ongoing body of work utilizing multi-media, complex compositions, and a grid centered around urban design. Using a grid to create the framework of the painting, Mack has utilized Zerox copies adhered by a matte medium to create graphic imagery of electronics from the 90s, small bits of a map of various places in Germany, and vinyl records. Mack paints on top of a torn canvas, and on the edges you can see the frayed, painted canvas mounted to the white backing of the frame. The work is finished with glass that shows minimum reflection as well as a customized 2 inch, white frame.
Eric Mack (b.1976, Charleston) creates mathematically based renderings with a distinct post-modern twist. Works are informed with super imposed grids, patterns, and portals. Layered surfaces are created with paint, found objects, natural fibers, and synthetic substrates that explore the systems of our visual world.
His most recent show “Charting the Terrain” is on view now at the California African American Museum in Los Angeles was covered by the Los Angeles Times, KCRW, and LALA Magazine. His last solo exhibition was titled "Impossible Architectures" at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017.
