Theresa Halat
Theresa Halat, (The Fox and The Dog)

1935

About the Item

While nothing is known about this artist (maybe even the spelling of the last name?), the drawing is so skilled and the composition compelling that there MUST be other work! And use of the subject as a lithograph certainly implies a familiarity with the medium and necessary drawing techniques. The subject of a fox jumping over a robust fire, while a beagle-like dog looks on, suggests a fable or well-known story of some kind. This lithograph is signed in pencil.
