About the Item
Fountain with Castle is an excellent Modern artwork realized by the German artist Augusto Wolf (Weinheim, 1842 - Venice, 1915) in the 1890s.
Original Watercolored Etching.
Hand-signed on the lower right corner and titled in pencil on the lower left corner.
Mint conditions.
Excellent work depicting a greening landscape with an elegant fountain with a sculpture and several buildings on the back of it. The work is realized with a very refined technique and with fresh and smart colors. There is an excellent use of perspective and, on the back of the artwork there is a building on the upper side of a mountain.
The work has been realized by the German artist Augusto Wolf (Weinheim, 1842 - Venice, 1915). Wolf took up residence in Venice, the enchanting city, and remained there, except for traveling for work purposes, until his death.
