Female Figure - Original Etching on Paper by Domenico Cunego - 1777
Located in Roma, IT
Female Figure is an original modern artwork realized in the half of the XVIII Century by the Italian artist Domenico Cunego (Verona, 1724 or 1725 - Rome, 1803). Original B/W Etching on paper. Excellent conditions. Excellent Etching depicting a female standing figure, an allegory. The impression is very fresh and has been realized wih soft and delicate strokes. The work has been realized by the Italian artist Domenico Cunego (Verona, 1724 or 1725 - Rome, 1803). He was an Italian engraver; he began his artistic career as a painter, producing several works, which are either lost or otherwise unidentifiable. The engravings he made on Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, published in the Schola Italica Picturae (1773) by Gavin Hamilton, were an important source for the artists of his time. Cunego is relevant not only for the reproductions of the paintings of his fellow countryman Guido Reni and other contemporary Italians such as Antonio Balestra...
