Portrait is a charismatic black and white lithograph on C.M. Fabriano watermarked paper, realized in 1972 by the contemporary artist, Edo Janich.
A really superb original print of pure and virtuous hatching, represent the shadows of half face of a beautiful woman looking at the observer.
This is an artist's proof in excellent conditions, hand-signed and dated in pencil on lower margin, with a brief devotion in pencil on lower margin "A Mario Apolloni".

Edo Janich
Edo Janich, engraver and sculptor, was born in Valvasone, Italy in 1943. Since 1962, he has been interested in sculpture and only years later he began engraving. From 1976 he alternated the two activities. As a sculptor, he created the Via Crucis and the furnishings for the Church of San Pietro in Bagheria, which kept him busy for more than three years. As an engraver, from 1968 to today, he has created about 400 etchings, often collaborating with the publisher Sellerio of Palermo.He has held solo exhibitions in Rome, Bucharest, Amsterdam, Belgrade, Zagreb, Reggio Emilia, Ravenna, Ferrara, Padua, Porretta Terme, San Giovanni in Valdarno, Ragusa, Spilimbergo, Split, Rome, Trieste, Florence, Pordenone, Palermo.
