FRANK WESLEY BENSON (1862 - 1951) WINTER WILDFOWLING, 1927 (PAFF 265) Etching, Signed in pencil. Edition 150. 11 7/8 X 9 7/8 inches. Sheet 14 3/4 x 12 1/4 with full margins with deckle edges all around. Very good condition save for a hint of a mat line around image in the margin and on verso. Annotations at the lower sheet edge. Frank Benson is a master American Impressionist painter. But he also did a large body of very fine etchings. Along with "The Gunner", "Old Tom" and "Marsh Gunner", "WINTER WILDFOWLING" is considered to be one of Benson's four top hunting prints.
