About the Item

The Muse is an original Contemporary Artwork realized in Italy by Guelfo Bianchini (Ancona, 1937) in 1995. Original colored Etching on paper. Hand-signed and dated in pencil on the lower right corner: Guelfo 95. Numbered on the lower left corner: 6/30. Edition of 30 prints. The dry label is present on the lower left corner. Mint conditions. Excellent work depicting a colored female figure in profile. The work is realized with cold colors and the silhouette of the woman is characterized by strong outlines. Guelfo Bianchini (Ancona 1937). Born in Fabriano in 1937, he lives and works in Rome, where he did his artistic studies. He has participated in international shows and collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Bartolini, De Chirico, Cocteau, Oskar Kokoschka and Marc Chagall. After a first experience in "living drawing" and in "advertising drawing" he devoted himself only to painting which he discovered as an autodidact. In 1960 he took interest in the human figure especially in the woman one, and he went on developing it for some years.
