Marc Chagall L'oranger (The Orange Tree), 1975 delicately illustrates an outing between two young lovers as the idle in an orchard. Though their faces are muted, detailed in a lighter color grey so that their facial features aren’t so pronounced, the young man stares in profile, gazing down at his partner with admiration in his eye.
