About the Item
This is the place where I work. You can't tell me apart from the other workers in the image captured by the room's camera.
When I return home, I look out the window and contemplate my promised dreams for a moment before falling back into routine.
Like that dog waiting for a bone, I too wait. Instead, I find an idea. But feeding on ideas is never a good idea.
As they did in the past, I search for answers to an uncertain future in the portraits of modernity. Maybe they knew the answers to my questions, or maybe you already do—but I don’t.
The painting of robots sitting in an office, working, is one of the first I created in the series "Messages from Chaos."
In the initial version, all the workstations and computer screens were identical. However, in the later version, each screen displays something different, and each robot has a small cactus on its desk, each in a uniquely colored pot. These subtle variations reflect the evolution of the narrative in "Messages from Chaos".
In these paintings, I replicate the same model—whether people or objects—dozens or even hundreds of times, with slight changes in color and sometimes size. Through this repetition, I represent a society that forces us to "fit" into its predefined models of beauty and success. From my perspective, these models do nothing but create clones of those who accept them and seek social validation, especially within digital spaces like social media, but also in everyday life.
The small variations in color throughout my work symbolize what I see as "freedom"—a concept reduced to the minor changes that society allows. If any element were to differ beyond this permitted threshold (with color change representing the maximum accepted difference), society would classify it as a "system error" or even as madness. Naturally, such deviation would not be accepted by the system—by society—and certainly not understood, as anything labeled an error or insanity is immediately dismissed.
