Floral Print is an original artwork realized in 1971 by the italian Contemporary artist Leo Guida (1992 - 2017).
Etching, drypoint and embossing on ivory-colored cardboard.
Hand-signed and dated on the lower margin.
In this artwork is represented a floral print.

Leo Guida (1992 - 2017). Sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave with many generations of young people in the course of his career, a productive conversation on art and the function of the artist. He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico in Latina from 1969 to 1985, and he trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural scene. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida showed all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc.

The state of preservation is excellent and the image, sensual and pleasant, describes a young nude woman kneeling in a meadow, surrounded by flowers and butterflies. This is an artist’s proof. On the higher left, there are some indications written in pencil for the print: “157 imprimes / 27 imprimes / + 2 sans numerò”. On the higher right, still in pencil, “Modéle 75 épreuves” is written. Amandine Doré (Paris, 1912-2011) is one of the pseudonyms of Odette Amandine Bonne, who signed also as “Aurèa” or “Madame”, according to the type of subject matter of her artworks.
