Patrick Duegaw (b. 1966) co-founded Fisch Haus, a cornerstone of Wichita's Art District, in 1990. He was featured in the Smithsonian Portrait of an Artist campaign and was a finalist in the National Portrait Competition (2005-2006). His solo exhibitions include the Wichita Art Museum (2009), Beach Museum of Art (2012), and Ulrich Museum (2017). His work is held in private, corporate, and institutional collections, including Emprise Bank and the Kansas Health Foundation.
Duegaw received Wichita’s Outstanding Achievement in Art Award (2019). His short films, My Reluctant Monster and Fake Tools, were official selections at the Tallgrass Film Festival (2019, 2022). His work has been featured in New American Paintings (2007) and reviewed in Art in America (2007) and Hyperallergic (2021). His latest exhibition, Consorting with Flies, was held at Aussenwelt Gallery, Montréal, with an upcoming solo show, A Mishandling of Sharps, scheduled at the Yellowstone Museum of Art (2024-25). Duegaw and artist Elizabeth Stevenson live and work in Wichita and Montréal.

Friedrich Meckseper (born June 8, 1936 in Bremen ; † June 5, 2019) was a German painter, graphic artist, draftsman, designer and author.
Friedrich Meckseper grew up in Stuttgart . The building researcher Cord Meckseper is his older brother. From 1952 to 1955 he completed his apprenticeship as a mechanic with the planned professional goal of becoming a locomotive engineer. Then he first began studying at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart under Karl Rössing , in order to continue this from 1957 to 1959 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin under Wolf Hoffmann . The first of his etchings also date from this period.
In addition to his artistic work, Meckseper was also interested in technology. He designed and built a steamboat from 1972 to 1974 and crossed the Alps five times in a gas balloon between 1978 and 1986.
