Image dimensions: 26.2 x 34 cm. Il Gran Diavolo Distributore dell'Oro (The Great Devil Distributor of Gold) is a beautiful hand-watercolored etching, realized by an anonymous Italian artist of XIX century, published by Da Piale Filippo ( between 1815 and 1850), and later watercolored. A beautiful and interesting satiric and allegoric scene concerning the temptations of the vile money, accompanied by a poem in rhyme, of twenty verses split into five columns. In very good conditions, except for some sporadic stain on the lower margin and some usual yellowing of the paper near the impressions of the matrix and some light thinnings of the paper.
