Moses Strikes the Rock Louvre Museum Etching Late 19th Century
Remarkable detail in this fine etching done by the Louvre in Paris. The Louvre has the largest collection of original Old Master plates. They will pull the plates when they are having an exhibition and print a limited number of copies to sell to the public. This etching shows the embossed Louvre mark at the bottom. This is a late 19th century etching of a 17th century painting.
Plate marks 31" x 21.5". The frame measures 43" x 34".
Very nice antique condition. The frame is lightly distressed.
