About the Item
City in Night is an original etching artwork on cardboard realized by Virgilio Retrosi, a ceramist and engraver pupil of Duilio Cambellotti.
Hand-signed on the lower left in pencil with dedication on the lower right, with dedication to "Dott. Valerio Cianfarani".
The State of preservation is very good with just a small rip on the lower left of the frame, which does not affect the image.
The artwork represents the scenery of the city in the night through roofs of buildings, skillfully depicted by confident strokes. The artwork characterized by a well-balanced composition, showing mysterious solitude and silence.
