Donald Shaw MacLaughlan's small, even 'miniaturist' etching, 'A Tuscan Farm,' features an idyllic view of a scene he would have encountered on his European travels. MacLaughlan was authority on both Whistler and Rembrandt (whose intaglios he was privileged to have printed).
This print is signed in pencil under the image at the lower right and is titled in the lower margin. It is also titled on the verse.
Although it's described here as 'American Modern,' it's probably closer to 'Etching Revival.'
