About the Item
The engraving "The Pink Of Condition" by George Wright was published in London in 1909. It depicts the beginning of a British fox hunting scene. The riders, dressed in their traditional British hunting attire, are just leaving the lodge on their horses, accompanied by their dogs. Some of the men are in conversation, while others seem focussed on the upcoming hunt.
The print is beautifully colored and is presented in a brown wood frame with a striking grain and a grey French mat. It is in excellent condition.
George Wright (1860-1942) was considered to be one of the best sporting painters of his time. His highly acclaimed paintings often portray beautiful and realistic hunting and coaching scenes, as well as horse portraits.
