Printed in Barcelona for the Publications de la Direccion General del Turismo.
Ortega's poster is an abstract depiction of Don Quixote (the Spanish hero written by Miguel de Cervantes), complete with his distinctive hat and spear. Ortega designed the poster for the Spanish tourist board, using an illustrious figure from Spain's literary heritage to encourage people to visit Spain.

Hoyle trained at Beckenham School of Art and the Royal College of Art. At the latter he was strongly influenced by Edward Bawden, one of Britain’s greatest linocut printers. Bawden had been commissioned by the 1951 Festival of Britain to produce a mural for the South Bank, and chose Hoyle to assist on account of his great talent. Hoyle moved to Great Bardfield in Essex, becoming a part of the Great Bardfield group of artists; diverse in style, they created figurative work, in stark contrast to the abstract art of the St Ives artists at the opposite end of the country.

Hoyle depicts King's College Chapel as both indomitable and delicate. The bold composition sees the chapel's spires surrounded by a fiery orange light against the black night of the background; at the same time, the western facade looks like it could have been cut from paper, or crafted from lace.

Hoyle moved to Great Bardfield in Essex, becoming a part of the Great Bardfield group of artists of whom in the post war era probably Bawden and Kenneth Rowntree are the most famous. Diverse in style, they created figurative work – in stark contrast to the abstract work of the St Ives artists at the opposite end of the country. (If he had not died whilst on active service as a war artist, off Iceland in an air-sea rescue, Eric Ravilious would have had this accolade.) The Fry Art Gallery in Saffron Walden was established to celebrate the works of the Great Bardfield group.

Roger was born in the Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester, MA, the son of Capt. Roger Martin and Ellie Emilia Oker, in 1925. His father was born in Rockport, of Portuguese heritage, and his mother was born in Finland. He graduated from Rockport Highschool in 1942. While in high school Roger prepared lobsters for tourists at the Roy Moore Lobster Company on Bearskin Neck and sang and played harmonica with Tony Torissi’s hillbilly band.
Roger enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942 and mustered out in 1946, ending his military career as a member of the USCG canine corps only two weeks from going to the Pacific with a Marine detachment. After having lived on both coasts (Manhattan and Los Angeles) he returned to his home town from the West Coast, vowing to never leave again, and he hasn’t. When he returned to Cape Ann he entered the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston where he majored in book design and illustration, graduating with honors.
He illustrated a number of textbooks for D.C. Heath, Beacon Press, and other Boston publishers, as well as provided illustrations for the New York Sunday Times, the New Yorker magazine, the Atlantic Monthly magazine, and a book for the United Church of Christ.
Roger also designed, carved and gold-leafed pipe shades for a number of C. B. Fisk pipe organs, builders of tracker action pipe organs, including those at Harvard and Stanford Universities.
He began his teaching career in Rockport, teaching elementary grade art, following that with four years teaching at the New England School of Art in Boston. Roger became a founding faculty member of the Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA, where he taught for twenty years, retiring to make paintings. He was also elected Rockport’s Poet Laureate in the 1990s and in addition wrote and published three books about Rockport.
Roger Martin has exhibited his work throughout New England and beyond. He has shown his work in Portland, ME; New York City; Andover’s Addison Gallery; the Boston ICA; galleries on Newbury Street in Boston; the Rockport Art Association; the Cape Ann Historical Museum (where he is part of the permanent collection); and many others. Notre Pain Quotidien Portfolio

This portfolio, entitled "Notre Pain Quotidien", consists of 13 lithographs from the original watercolors and gouaches by Maurice de Vlaminck, printed in 1963. These lithographs were printed by Daniel Jacomet and the four pages of typography about the artist were written by Pierre Bouchet. The portfolio begins with a forward written by French author, Georges Duhamel, as well as a justification page and a page of the artwork titles (see below). Each piece from this portfolio is numbered from the edition of 250 on Rives vellum paper, aside the editions numbered from 1 to 50 on Richard de Bas paper, and eleven numbered copies in Roman numerals reserved for the collaborators. The twelve pieces in the portfolio measure 17 x 20 inches and the lithograph on the cover of the portfolio measures 10.25 x 8.75 inches.
