Original vintage travel poster featuring a great mid-century design - Travel the easy way Fly Aer Lingus Irish Air Lines - depicting a hand of a pilot as a comfortable chair holding a passenger with a moustache reading a newspaper next to a plane window, a map on the arm of the pilot's uniform showing the flight routes from Dublin to cities in the United Kingdom and Europe including Shannon, the Isle of Man, Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol in England, Cardiff in Wales, Jersey, Amsterdam, Paris, Rennes, Biarritz, Lourdes and Barcelona, with the title text and Aer Lingus winged shamrock logo below. Artwork by the painter and poster designer John Bainbridge (1919-1978). Founded 1936 Aer Lingus is the flag carrier airline of Ireland. Printed in the Republic of Ireland by the Ormond Printing Co. Ltd. Very good condition, creasing.
