Edition of 115 ID: GIR1066-001-115" "Julio Girona is a Cuban artist who has worked in various media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. He was born in Havana in 1947 and studied at the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts in the same city. He also studied at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana and at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, Italy. Throughout his career, Girona has exhibited his work in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Cuba and abroad. Girona's work is characterized by its exploration of the human figure and nature, as well as his ability to combine elements of realism and abstraction. His paintings often feature solitary figures, isolated in mysterious and evocative landscapes.
