About the Item
1920's flapper shoes featured in this green, blue, black, and white. From a variable edition (édition variée) of 7 -- each impression is a unique color variant. Signed and numbered: e.v. 3/7. The plate (image) size is 16 x 8 1/2 inches the overall paper dimension is 27 x 18 1/2 inches. Kim Frohsin spent 12 years working on éditions variées, and works from this series are included in important Museum and private collections worldwide. Nostalgic: Era Shoes' features a pair of 1920's Flapper shoes in black and white on green and blue. The paper is pristine white with a deckled edge.
Frohsin began exhibiting in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s, and in 1993 was included with Nathan Olivera, Manuel Neri and Stephen De Staebler in an exhibit of "Four Figures from the Bay." With Wayne Thiebaud as the juror, she won the California Society of Printmakers' Award in 1996, and the following year exhibited at the de Young Museum in San Francisco in "Bay Area Art: The Morgan Flagg Collection." Frohsin is at home with painting, drawing, monoprintIng, and mixed media.

Kim Frohsin, Third generation Bay Area Figurative artist is at home with a variety of media, including painting, drawing, monoprints, mixed media and collage. Her subjects include the female figure, cityscape, iconic Coke-Work, Portraits of Numbers, and other objects that attract her attention and which are most often autobiographical in nature. Frohsin began exhibiting in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1990s, and in 1993 was included with Nathan Olivera, Manuel Neri and Stephen De Staebler in an exhibit of 'Four Figures from the Bay.'
