About the Item
This one of a kind sculpture is comprised of pigmented birch plywood and consists of 32 individual faces. This piece has a bright energetic nature provided by the vibrancy of the pigment, and the differing striped patterns created with the wood. This piece, as with similar works by Ferraro, has a wonderfully tactile nature to it.
Ferraro is a graduate of SUNY Albany (MA & MFA). Ferraro has exhibited internationally, nationally, with 22 solo performance / exhibitions. He is in collections of multiple museums, including Albany Institute of Art and History. Currently Ferraro is the Shop Supervisor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences managing a shop he designed and built from scratch.
