After many years of artistic productions in 2006, he discovered a new material for his artworks: ceramic. Not only the setting of the platinum drops creates the individual and unique look of each work but also their convex and interleaving forms. The slight convexity of the platinum varnish drops reflects the light and gives the artwork a discreet white shine. With the mélange of archaic and modern elements, Piene achieves an impressing artwork with this powerful material.
