About the Item
This is a limited edition, bronze sculpture that is made using the lost wax method of bronze casting, and is finished by hand. The patina is a liver of sulphur and ferric nitrate combination. As in many of his sculptures, Siro' has chosen to leave chisel marks and further textures on the surface. This makes a greater connection to the artist. The sculpture evokes the existence of a sharp break and the emotional eruption as a consequence of that break. The hopefulness of the piece comes from the artist attempting to fit the two broken pieces back together.
